Full mottled sheep neatly rebacked recently, quite sound. Uniform mild browning but otherwise very clean internally. With the very rare Lasne portrait of Rabelais in lieu of a first title page. 1106pp, (21)pp. Separate title pages for each section but continuous pagination. Plan 127, Brunet V 1058.
An interesting edition, Plan notes, as it interrupts the "Jean Martin" editions. Though printed with a "grand négligénce" with pagination errors that he describes as fanciful, and other problems. There are only a handful of recorded copies with the famous Lasne portrait of Rabelais.
