Full contemporary parchment, old signature to title, scattered light dampstains, heavier early on, and a bit foxed at the end, a few tiny wormtrails, a couple témoin, slightly shaken but sound. Clean overall and a very wide margined copy in the original binding, separate titles for each section with the portrait of Rabelais before the third; complete (though without the rarely present portrait mention by Plan). 1106pp, (21)pp. Separate title pages for each section but continuous pagination. An interesting edition, Plan notes, as it interrupts the "Jean Martin" editions. Though printed with a "grand négligénce" with pagination errors that he describes as fanciful, and other problems. He held this edition, despite the type setting, in high esteem and the entry covers some 3.5 pages.
