Four advertisements for the English State Lottery ca. 1810 (one dated 1813). One depecting a uoung man unable to mary his sweetheart due to poverty and then welcomed into the family after winning; one with a opular song, all with woodcut illustrations. A nice group - the English State Lottery ran from 1694-1826 (though had it's roots in QE I's lottery begun in 1566). They measure ca. 9" x 7", 9" x 5.5", 7.5" x 4.5", 7.5 x 4.5".
