The first three books are full of Fioravanti's Paracelsus influenced cures for a wide variety of ailments — ulcers, fevers, bladder stones, head-aches, poisoning — as well as recipes for general cures like his Sirrup of Quintessence or Pillole Magistrole (good against divers infirmities) or "The Cure of the Flux wherewith I helped the Armie of the Emperor of Africa." The final section is attributed to Paracelsus himself.
