The first Latin edition of the possibly apocryphal biography of Apollonius of Tyana, magician, Pythagorean philosopher and traveler. It describes his travels in Italy, Nubia, Mesopotamia and India. The Aldine edition was published shortly after (1501-1504) and included Philostratus's complete works, but the Latin translation used was unimproved by Beroaldo. The Rinuccini manuscript translation into Latin was prepared for the Medici in 1475. 4 Size: Folio. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo.
