First published in 1553, Peucer's work on divination (ok in small doses), saints (the equivalent of a belief in personal genies), oracles, magic, geomancy, chiromancy and alchemy is unrelentingly Protestant in its arguments. Though he was later accused of crypto-Calvinism and jailed for some time, this work's skepticism was widely influential. Size: Octavo (8vo). Previous owner's inscription in ink, neat. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilo. Category: Religion & Theology; Magic, Paranormal & Occult. Inventory No: 045231.
