In original blue wraps, a bit worn and soiled, small tear to spine cloth. Slight foxing internally. Originally published in 1861, Cooke's Regulations were widely influential on both sides of the Civil War (though some of his strategies were viewed as archaic, even at the time). This edition appears to have merged the previous two volumes editions that had separated out the "Evolution of a Regiment" and 'Evolution of the Line" sections.
