This is coming really late to the party, but I just saw Putin’s fishing photo shoot from last month and it reminded me of Bush’s original – we get each other, we’re friends – view of Putin. You can still see that he wasn’t really wrong, they really are carved from the same rump of pork, they just gradually drifted away from each other politically. The only real difference is that Putin is apparently a chick magnet – his office got buried in the saucy photos and undergarments of his devotees after his fishing series was released.
