There’s a commercial for the local Fox affiliate that starts out something like “See High school kids in action” and then “Come see High Schoolers doing what they do best”. I saw it about a week ago and was shocked when I saw them running it again tonight. Don’t they have anyone with a dirty mind screening their ads? In this day and age?
So I got to thinking – I should start up an advertising consulting company that screens commercials, billboards, etc. for dirty double entendres. It would be quick, play to my strengths, and keep troubling copy like the above off the air. I might even incorporate in my favorite tax haven, the Isle of Man, and call it Dirty Mind PLC.
I tried to think of a good double entendre name for the company – that wasn’t too daft – but didn’t come up with anything.
