I went to Herb's. An older guy (maybe Herb...maybe somebody else...he looked like a Stanley) helped me and fixed my receiver. He gave me great compliments on the unit, but neglected to call me with an estimate. I'm not sure if I would have paid $96. It may be a while before I can pick it up. I did it. I went to Herb’s. Speaking of beans-they used to throw beans when a player got a hit in the early days of baseball. They switched to coins and the runners would stop running to pick up the coins. I guess they didn't have multi-million $ contracts then. I've had a photo of it as my desktop for a long time now. I guess I knew it wouldn't be up there forever. Ironically (or maybe not ironically...interestingly) I'm very much in need of an old-fashioned place like that TV repair shop to fix my analog receiver. I can't find any buisnesses that can do it.
