Pazzo Books is a used, rare and out of print bookshop in the Boston, MA neighborhood of West Roxbury, MA.
Pazzo was opened by brothers Brian and Tom Nealon in 2003 in Roslindale Square. Brian had just graduated from college and Tom had arrived at loose ends and, it was generally agreed, was bound to become a nuisance. What better way to occupy their time, fulfill a dream, and enjoy their ambivalent relationship with capitalism than to open a used bookstore?
Pazzo Books stocks approximately 20,000 books in a wide variety of scarcities and subjects. It has always been our aim to be a local bookshop, so we try to carry the sorts of books that people read as well as the sorts that they may collect. Our well stocked fiction sections are as likely to contain Murakami and Heinlein as Marlowe and Hawthorne.
Pazzo is a member of the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Antiquarian Booksellers Association (MARIAB) and the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA).
Pazzo moved to its current location on Centre St. in West Roxbury in June of 2008. Brian left to pursue other ventures, including having a baby and getting a real job, in 2010.
In his spare time, Tom writes the food blog cruditas and for the acclaimed online organ HiLobrow.
